Creighton earned a measure of revenge on Tuesday night.
The Bluejays defeated the Georgetown Hoyas 63-48, getting their win back from the Hoyas’ upset last week. The win propels Creighton up to 15-5 on the year and 11-4 in Big East play with five scheduled games remaining.
Creighton stymied Georgetown thoroughly. They held the Hoyas to just seven made two-point field goals the entire night. You read that one correctly. The Hoyas made nine 3-pointers, but only shot 29 percent from the perimeter on the evening. They also only got to the line eight times, and while they made seven free throws, that obviously was not nearly enough for them to pick up the win or come close.
