Lauren Park-Lane scored 27 points for Seton Hall but it was Villanova and its four double-digit scorers that came away with the win in Wednesday’s thriller in South Orange. Brianna Herlihy tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds and Maddy Siegirst scored a Wildcat-best 23, as VU overcame a 10-point deficit to win. Villanova shot just 29.4-percent in the first quarter as The Hall (3-3, 1-2 BIG EAST) jumped out to an 18-8 lead. VU (8-2, 3-2) found its rhythm in the second quarter, making 13-of-21 shots (61.9%) and doubling-up SHU in the second quarter, 28-14, to take an eight-point lead into the break.
