NEW YORK – All 10 teams are in action as the 2019 BIG EAST volleyball season kicks off with a slate of 29 games over the upcoming weekend. St. John’s heads to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic, while Georgetown will remain home to host the 2019 Georgetown Classic. Preseason conference favorite Marquette will travel to Provo, Utah, for the BYU Nike Invitational.
The No. 16 Golden Eagles will be tested early with a matchup against 2018 NCAA Semifinalist No. 9 BYU on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET. No. 18 Creighton will also see top competition early when the Bluejays make the short trip to Lincoln, Neb.
