#BIGEASTmbb Minute: UConn Defeats Butler

In Tuesday’s only contest, Connecticut held Butler to 34.5 percent shooting from the field and blocked 10 shots en route to a 63-51 victory at Gampel Pavilion. Each team scored 10 more points than they did in their first meeting, which was the 2011 National Championship Game.

Tyrese Martin led the Huskies (8-3, 5-5 BIG EAST) with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. Isaiah Whaley led the defensive effort with seven blocked shots. For the Bulldogs (5-8, 4-6 BIG EAST), Bryce Golden scored a career-high 19 points. Bryce Nze grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
