Creighton improved to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in BIG EAST play after a 97-79 victory over visiting St. John’s. The Bluejays, playing without Marcus Zegarowski who was held out with a hamstring injury, raced to a 56-39 lead by halftime and placed six players in double figures for the game. Denzel Mahoney scored a team high 24 points. Julian Champagnie had a career day for the Johnnies (6-6, 1-5 BIG EAST) with 33 points and 10 rebounds.
