The dog days of BIG EAST play are here. Six teams have played nine or more conference games. The rest of the league has played at least five contests. While there is a level of imbalance to this point, there are also some conclusions that can be made. For starters, the top team in the preseason poll, Villanova, has once again lived up to its top spot with a 5-0 record in BIG EAST play. Creighton has also lived up to expectations for the most part, but it’s actually a supporting cast that has risen up to charge the Bluejays to their 11-4 overall record, and 7-3 conference play mark.
