Following an eventful week in the Big East Conference, Seton Hall Pirates forward Desi Rodriguez and Creighton Bluejays center Justin Patton are the recipients of the conference’s Player and Freshman of the Week awards.
It’s the first honor for Rodriguez this season and the first for Seton Hall since Myles Powell won Freshman of the Week back on November 21. The junior from The Bronx was certainly deserving of the accolade after scoring 25 points in the Pirates’ victory over DePaul. Desi did so while shooting 10-for-13 from the field and an especially prodigious 5-for-7 from the 3-point line.
