NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference has announced a two-year partnership with Team IMPACT, a nonprofit organization that matches children with serious chronic illnesses with collegiate athletic teams. The partnership will begin in the 2021-22 academic year and will continue through 2022-23, with the goal of further establishing a long-term relationship.
The partnership was formed around the shared core values and mission: promoting empathy,
resilience, camaraderie, and excellence, while providing a student-athlete development experience focused on the whole person.
As community engagement partners, the BIG EAST will establish Team IMPACT as a consistent Student-Athlete Advisory Committee agenda item for discussion at Conference SAAC meetings.
