AKRON, Ohio - A pair of goals from sophomore Remi Agunbiade (Toronto, Ontario) propelled the 14th-seeded University of Akron men's soccer team past No. 15 Duke, 2-0, in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 on Sunday (Nov. 30) at FirstEnergy Stadfium,

On the strength of the victory, Zips advance to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals to be played next Friday (Dec. 5) or Saturday (Dec. 6) against the advancing team between 11th-seeded Bryant and Saint Louis.

The brace was the first multi-goal match for Agunbiade and represents the first multi-goal tilt for a Zip in the NCAA Tournament since Marcel Zajac netted a pair of tallies in a 3-2 victory at Stanford in the Round of Eight during the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
