BIG EAST Commissioner Val Ackerman will be recognized by the Marquette University Law School’s National Sports Law Institute on Friday, Oct. 21. Ackerman will be presented with the organization’s Master of the Game Award. The Sports Law Institute is hosting a conference, “The Changing Landscape of Collegiate Athletics: Legal and Business Issues.”
The conference will feature panels discussing the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics from an administrative and athletic department perspective; amateurism, gender issues, economic and employment issues and the future of Olympic sports within collegiate athletics.
