A Look Back at "The Future of College Basketball" Roundtable

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference held its "The Future of College Basketball" Roundtable event on Monday, Oct. 20 at the Empire State Building. The five-panel event - held at the soon-to-be new home of the conference office - featured perspectives from school and NCAA administrators, former coaches, media members, sports law experts and sports business executives.

"The purpose of the forum was to draw out the perspectives of some of the most influential people in college sports on the dramatic changes that have overtaken our space and the effect those changes may or will have on the look, the feel, the operation, the popularity, the economics and on the young men and women who play the college game," said Val Ackerman, BIG EAST Commissioner, "especially at schools like ours which are without autonomy level football resources but have proven success in basketball and where basketball is the priority sport on campus.
