Out of the West Regional bracket, the No. 5 Marquette Golden Eagles (24-9, 12-6 Big East) and No. 12 Murray State Racers (27-4, 16-2 Ohio Valley) face off in a Thursday afternoon clash. The winner will face the victor of the No. 4 Florida State/No. 13 Vermont game on Saturday.
This is Marquette’s 33rd NCAA Tournament appearance and Murray State’s 17th. These two programs have faced off twice before, both in prior tourneys (1969, 2012). The Golden Eagles hold the 2-0 advantage.
