NEW YORK – Regular season champion and BIG EAST Baseball Championship No. 1 seed Xavier had a league-high seven total selections to the All-BIG EAST First and Second Teams, which were announced on Wednesday, preceding the 2016 BIG EAST Championship presented by Jeep, along with the four major regular season awards.
The Musketeers also boasted the BIG EAST Player of the Year, Xavier senior shortstop Andre Jernigan, who was a unanimous selection and the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year, led by Scott Googins, who is finishing his 11th season at the helm of the Xavier program.
