Josh Doctson is hopeful he can return for a bowl game while Trevone Boykin is getting closer to 100 percent, reports Travis L. Brown of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. TCU's elite quarterback-receiver duo is hopeful to return to the field together for one final time in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
Doctson missed the bulk of November after breaking his wrist against Oklahoma State while Boykin missed nearly two full games with an ankle injury. Their injuries handcuffed TCU's offense as the duo connected for 72 times for 1,291 yards and 14 touchdowns during the first two months of the season before the injury bug hit.
