When Texas walked off the field after beating Notre Dame in double overtime, whispers of “Texas is back” were heard. While future play will determine whether that, the Longhorns had ample recruiting momentum before the game.
After the whirlwind finish in February that saw Charlie Strong and staff reel in a whopping six ESPN 300 prospects on signing day alone and Art Briles' dismissal at Baylor, Texas headed into the season with a positive vibe on the recruiting trail.
The momentum is at an all-time high under Strong with a number of in-state prospects who are committed to other schools, or prospects from out of state getting in touch with Texas.
