Texas Tech embraces Halloween with halftime costume contest

Texas Tech embraced the Halloween spirit at halftime of its home game against No. 12 Oklahoma State Saturday with an on-field costume contest. Six winners were chosen from the Red Raiders' student section. Each one went home with a $4,500 scholarship.

Kliff Kingsbury, athletic director Kirby Hocutt, Texas Tech president Duane Nellis, chancellor emeritus Kent Hance and TTU system chancellor Robert Duncan all chipped in to sponsor the contest.

A couple winners that stood out:

The Lego Red Raider won the men's Texas Tech-themed costume contest. That is one well-crafted suit. He definitely earned his scholarship money for this effort.
