Weather forced Baylor's "Friday Night Lights" extravaganza to be rescheduled over the weekend but that doesn't mean it was an uneventful couple of days for coach Art Briles' program.
Quarterback Seth Russell saw his first scrimmage action of the spring in a closed doors scrimmage on Friday night, marking the quarterback's return to regular duties after his season-ending neck injury kept him from fully participating in Baylor's previous scrimmage. Russell had a solid showing, finishing 13 of 19 for 114 yards with one touchdown to tight end Jordan Feuerbacher.
"He hadn't played in four months," Briles said in a video via Baylor Athletics.
