Running prowess takes Big 12's top quarterbacks to a different level

With his team trailing by five points on the road, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin faked a handoff to Aaron Green then ran away from Kansas State’s defense for a 69-yard touchdown run. On the Horned Frogs' next possession, with the score tied, Boykin read the Wildcats' defense with ease before throwing a perfect strike to Josh Doctson for a 55-yard score.

It’s become a common sight in the Big 12. A star quarterback who can throw for over 400 yards but who looks like a running back or receiver in the open field, thus giving fits to defenses who simply don’t have an answer as they try to stop them.
