Despite his team scoring 69 points, rolling up 758 yards and racking up 37 first downs, Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury was not overly pleased with his offense in a 69-17 Week 1 victory over Stephen F. Austin.
"We have some good playmakers that can make stuff happen in open space. We have (quarterback) Pat [Mahomes], so we covered a lot of things by playing some street ball," Kingsbury said. "But we have to get a lot better and tighten things up and be a lot more physical this week."
Kingsbury knows the Red Raiders will face defenses this season that are just as athletic and just as talented as Tech's offense.
