Planning for success: Replacing Josh Doctson won't be easy for TCU

The trials and tribulations keep coming for TCU.

The Horned Frogs' training room has resembled a MASH unit with starters and key contributors rotating in and out throughout the season.

“We haven’t made excuses, we aren’t going to make excuses,” coach Gary Patterson said.

Receiver Josh Doctson joined the list in TCU’s 49-29 loss to Oklahoma State last Saturday. The national leader in receiving yards suffered a injury to his left wrist late in the second quarter, and his status for the remainder of the season is unclear.

As TCU plans for success against Kansas on Saturday and during the remainder of November, the Horned Frogs likely are going to have to turn to other playmakers without their leading receiver at 100 percent.
