The nation may have forgotten about Oklahoma after two early-season losses, but the No. 12 Sooners will be back on the college football radar screen Thursday night with a road test at Iowa State.
The high-powered, Lincoln Riley-led offense has been a major weapon since the setbacks against Houston and Ohio State, making OU look like the College Football Playoff contender it was expected to be during the preseason.
Iowa State, on the other hand, sits at a disappointing 1-7, but at least nobody is blowing out the Cyclones lately. They put up a fight against Baylor, Oklahoma State and Kansas State and have lost three of their last four games by a touchdown or less.
