Oklahoma spring game: Three things to watch

Three things to watch for in Oklahoma's spring game, which kicks off at 2 p.m. CT Saturday at Owen Field:

1. QB Austin Kendall: With Trevor Knight having transferred to Texas A&M, Cody Thomas having given up football to focus on baseball and Kyler Murray not eligible until 2017, true freshman Austin Kendall could become Oklahoma's No. 2 QB behind Baker Mayfield this season. The Sooners have been pleased so far this spring with Kendall's development, especially the propensity, for his age and inexperience, of taking care of the ball.
