NFL prospects face tough decisions during bowl season

Josh Doctson won't play for TCU in the Valero Alamo Bowl, writes Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The Horned Frogs' star receiver hasn't played since Nov. 14. He injured his wrist on Nov. 7 against Oklahoma State then tried to play with the injury against Kansas but was ineffective. Doctson finishes the season with 79 receptions for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns, setting school records in each category on his way to various All-American honors. He is generally regarded as one of the top receiver prospects for the 2016 NFL draft.

TCU coach Gary Patterson said it was Doctson's decision.
