Missouri has hired TCU assistant coach DeMontie Cross to be its defensive coordinator.
Cross, who has been the co-defensive coordinator at TCU, played and coached at Missouri in the 1990s. He was teammates with Barry Odom, who was promoted from defensive coordinator to head coach after Gary Pinkel retired.
“DeMontie is an outstanding addition to our staff,” Odom said in a statement “He’s really established himself as one of the top defensive minds in college football, and he’s had success at every stop he’s been at over the years. ... We’re proud to have him back here.
