Kamari Cotton-Moya hopes renewed commitment pays off

When Kamari Cotton-Moya looks back on his sophomore season, he knows he was in the wrong.

"I realized I may have been taking things for granted," the Iowa State safety said. "Not preparing the right way and doing the right things."

Fresh off the heels of a redshirt freshman season that included Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors in 2014, Cotton-Moya missed half of his sophomore season after a hamstring injury midway through the year. He started six games in 2015, recording 40 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss including 18 combined tackles against Iowa and TCU.
