Iowa State offensive coordinator Tom Manning could be feeling better about the overall depth of the quarterback position, writes Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register. Jacob Park, a former Georgia Bulldog, has been impressing his teammates since his arrival on campus this summer and appears ready to battle for the Cyclones' backup quarterback spot.
Manning spoke of Park's maturity on local radio in Iowa on Tuesday.
"I think we’re certainly really happy with his maturity level and kind of the way that he’s come in here with the understanding that he’s going to have to work really, really hard,” Manning said.
