Iowa State will depart for its 10-day trip to Spain on Monday, and it's a trip that might come at the perfect time as the team begins the Steve Prohm era.
AMES, IOWA — Iowa State will board a plane to Spain on Monday, and while players shared their desire to win games while out of the country, the 10-day overseas trip will have more importance than wins and losses.
Nearly two months into Steve Prohm’s tenure as head coach, Iowa State’s overseas trip couldn’t come at a better time. The Cyclones will run a vanilla offense and won’t have the full group of what is likely to be a preseason top-10 team, but the trip will put the team alone together for nearly two weeks.
