In Jarrett Stidham, Baylor still has a QB that can take it to playoff

Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham breaks down his performance in the Bears' 31-24 win over Kansas State and why his team can face the challenge of their remaining Big 12 schedule.

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Backpedaling after back-to-back Kansas State touchdowns, Baylor needed a big play to finally put Bill Snyder’s plucky Wildcats away.

But instead of taking the ball out of the hands of his true freshman quarterback, Bears coach Art Briles put the game squarely on his arm.

And as he had all night in his first college start, Jarrett Stidham once again delivered, this time tossing a laser down the seam between a pair of defenders to KD Cannon for a 40-yard gain that would’ve salted the game away had Baylor not botched a late field goal try.
