It's possible that All-Big 12 cornerback Daryl Worley has played in his final game in a West Virginia uniform, reports Mike Casazza of the Charleston Gazette-Mail.
Worley will miss Saturday's Motel 6 Cactus Bowl after turning in classwork late and failing to get certified before the bowl season, coach Dana Holgorsen announced Tuesday. Freshman receiver Jovon Durante and defensive end Eric Kinsey will also miss the game as academic casualties.
Worley, who has been a key part of the Mountaineers' secondary since earning a starting role as a freshman, is considering entering the NFL draft as an early entry junior.
