Texas Tech Red Raiders graduate transfer quarterback Davis Webb, looking for a new home to play his final season, told ESPN.com on Sunday that Auburn Tigers remains in the running and that he plans to visit the Tigers soon.
Webb, who recently visited California Golden Bears after making a verbal commitment to Colorado Buffaloes in January, would be eligible to play immediately during the 2016 season. Auburn's quarterback situation is unsettled coming out of the A-Day spring game. Senior Jeremy Johnson, sophomore Sean White and junior college newcomer John Franklin III are all battling for the job, but coach Gus Malzahn hasn't seen enough separation to name a starter.
