Here are five things that immediately stand out about the Big 12’s 2017 conference schedule, which was released Tuesday afternoon.
1. A new day for Bedlam
One of the scheduling necessities for the Big 12 with the return of its conference title game in 2017 was moving Bedlam off the final week of schedule, in order to prevent the possibility of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State playing their rivalry game in back-to-back weeks. As expected, Bedlam is moving to Nov. 4 next year. The Sooners and Cowboys now play three more regular-season games after that big battle.
