The Big 12 has a problem.

To retake its place as one of the preeminent conferences in college football, the league can take these steps to rehabilitate its tarnished image:
Step 1: Win the nonconference games that count
Due to its collective scheduling practices, the Big 12 doesn't have many prime opportunities for marquee nonconference victories this season.
