Do-it-all Dimitri Flowers adds new threat before Sooners hit final stretch

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops walked into the victorious locker room Thursday night at Iowa State and addressed fullback Dimitri Flowers in front of the entire team.

Flowers didn’t play fullback in this game, which was the Sooners’ sixth consecutive victory after a Sept 17 loss to Ohio State. That loss had dropped their record below .500 for the first time after Week 2 since 2005.

He was a featured back, carrying 22 times -- the first rushing attempts of his career -- for 115 yards in the 34-24 win. He also contributed three receptions for 34 yards, one touchdown and one snap as a Wildcat quarterback.
