Our Big 12 Week 9 power rankings (previous ranking in parentheses):
1. Iowa State (4): The Cyclones move to the top after becoming the first FBS team in six years to defeat a pair of top-five teams in one month. Before this season, Iowa State was 1-56-2 all-time against top-five teams. The Cyclones now own tiebreakers over OU and TCU, and could all but lock up a trip to Arlington, Texas, with a victory over Oklahoma State in two weeks.
2. Oklahoma (2): The Sooners are probably going to be displeased with the first College Football Playoff rankings, especially if Ohio State, a team they obliterated in Week 2, is ahead of them.
