The Big 12's only two undefeated teams -- Baylor and West Virginia -- had the weekend off. That allowed Oklahoma to jump into a tie in the Big 12 standings with the Bears following a 45-40 victory in the Red River Showdown. With the Baylor-Oklahoma game in Norman this year on Nov. 12, the Sooners gain the slight edge for the moment for the Big 12's New Year's Six slot.
After that, the Big 12's bowl outlook looks muddled.
For now, we're still projecting Texas and Texas Tech to reach bowl eligibility. But after both teams lost Saturday, that no longer is looking like a sure thing.
