Here are our first Big 12 power rankings of the 2016 season:
1. Oklahoma: The expectations for this year's Sooners couldn't be much higher. They're loaded again and begin their chase for a return trip to College Football Playoff with heavyweight nonconference bouts against Houston and Ohio State. There are still some position battles to resolve this month, but as long as Baker Mayfield, Samaje Perine, Joe Mixon and their high-speed offense are leading the charge, this team will be hard to beat.
2. TCU: The Horned Frogs lost one heck of a senior class but have successfully plugged most of their holes with veteran players back from injury and quality transfers and freshmen.
