The Big 12 appeared to emerge from the big shakeup Saturday as a big winner. The Tuesday night release of the third College Football Playoff rankings will offer more clues, but to get dealt back into the mix, the Big 12 needed chaos. It got chaos, all right, with No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 going down in the same week for the first time in more than 30 years.
The league remains on the outside, though. Another round of upsets is required for No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 13 Oklahoma State to sneak into the national discussion.
