Alert: Kevin Peterson Has Knee Surgery

Preseason All-Big 12 cornerback Kevin Peterson underwent arthroscopic surgery after suffering a knee injury over the weekend, Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy announced Monday. Peterson, who had started 26 games the past two seasons, is expected to be back in time for OSU's season opener against Central Michigan on Sept. 3.

After Monday morning's practice, head coach Mike Gundy revealed that cornerback Kevin Peterson is out for two weeks with a slight knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery on Monday morning. Gundy feels he will be back for the season opener at Central Michigan.

“Kevin Peterson got a small knee (injury),” Gundy said following the practice session at the Sherman E.
