When TCU coach Gary Patterson stood in front of his players in TCU’s locker room Saturday night, after a 41-38 double-overtime loss to Arkansas, he didn’t see the response he expected.
Two years ago, when the Horned Frogs lost their 61-58 shootout at Baylor, Patterson says there wasn’t a dry eye in the locker room. Players took that heartbreak hard. They’d given their all in that game. The loss meant something to them.
And that team proved it mattered with how they responded. They won their final eight games in 2014, a share of the Big 12 title and the Chik-fil-A Peach Bowl.
