Boyd is one of three elite cornerbacks the Longhorns signed in 2015 along with Holton Hill and Davante Davis. He’s got elite speed [reportedly ran the fastest 40-yard dash on the team recently] and the right amount of arrogance that you want in a lock-down cornerback.
He’ll compete with Davis, Hill, Bryson Echols, and Antwuan Davis for playing time either behind senior Duke Thomas or at the currently vacant other corner position that would have been Sheroid Evans had he not gotten injured in spring camp.
