The second game on Thursday afternoon will be the Texas Tech Red Raiders taking on the Butler Bulldogs from Raleigh, NC in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The winner of this game will likely earn the right to play the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, the Virginia Cavaliers, in the second round.
The Red Raiders had a brilliant start to the season as they won 11 of their first 12 games, but Tubby Smith‘s club only won eight games the rest of the way.
