Oklahoma had reached a fork in the road headed into 2015.
The Sooners were coming off the most disappointing season of the Bob Stoops era in Norman, which culminated with am embarrassing 40-6 blowout defeat to Clemson in the bowl. In response, Stoops fired a coordinator for the first time in his career, and reopened the quarterback competition.
Stoops' offseason of change has paid off.
The Sooners finished the regular season with seven straight victories to capture the Big 12 title and advance into the College Football Playoff. Now, they're just two wins away from winning a national championship, too.
