Report: Ex-Baylor AD says Art Briles will be 'largely exonerated,' eligible to coach college football in 2019

Former Baylor head football coach Art Briles could be back on college football sidelines in the near future.

At least that's what former Baylor athletic director Ian McCaw says.

CBS Sports' Denis Dodd reports McCaw, who resigned from his post at the university after being disciplined and put on probation, predicted that Briles would be "In the 2019 hiring cycle."

"I think he's going to get largely exonerated," McCaw, who is currently the athletic director at Liberty, told CBS Sports. "I think people right now are saying, 'Holy cow, he's implicated in [covering up] all these sexual assaults and so forth.
