FORT WORTH -- As the last slots of the NCAA tournament field were announced, a few TCU players peeled away from their seats at the team's watch party as their fate was sealed.
Going into Sunday, several major projections penciled the Horned Frogs in the field of 68. But when the selections were finally announced, TCU was left out.
As the TV broadcast ran through the field and a few other near misses, some of the players continued to watch while they processed the news. A few minutes later, coach Jamie Dixon expressed his frustration with the selection committee's decision.
