WACO - Someone will eventually claim the Big 12 regular-season men's basketball title.

No really. It's in the league by-laws.

For now, Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State are tied for first, each 4-2 in a chaotic logjam after the Big 12's three ranked teams all lost Saturday. Just one-half game back is Baylor at 3-2, the biggest surprise in the group after a 71-62 win over No. 8 Tech.

The Bears weren't supposed to be in the position, not after falling at home to Kansas and losing rapidly developing sophomore big man Tristan Clark to a season-ending knee injury a week ago.
