It was another busy recruiting week in D-FW.
Here are five takeaways.
1. New rankings -- The inaugural 247Sports national Top 100 recruiting rankings for the 2021 class were released on Friday and featured a handful of Dallas-area recruits. Elite Dallas Parish Episcopal's Preston Stone came in as the No. 6 overall prospect in the country and is ranked as the nation's top quarterback. Mesquite Horn's Kendrick Blackshire debuted at No. 22 on the list and is the nation's top ranked inside linebacker. Others on the list were: Coppell athlete KJ Liggins (40), Lakeview Centennial running back Camar Wheaton (47), Denton Guyer quarterback Eli Stowers (87) and Braswell offensive lineman Erick Cade (100).
