The Big 12 Tournament tips off on Wednesday and just like in years past, it’s shaping up to be an entertaining week in Kansas City. Despite the unique challenges from this past year the conference delivered in drama and quality play. And there’s still a lot on the line for both Baylor and the other conference members.
Maybe the most intriguing storyline is all the NCAA tournament bound teams (besides Baylor) quest to secure a #3 seed. Currently, several Big 12 teams are hovering around the 3/4/5 seed line. Because conventional wisdom says you want to avoid a potential matchup with a #1 seed in the Sweet Sixteen, it’s important for these teams to have a good showing in Kansas City.
