The Big 12 released its regular-season men's basketball awards and its All-conference teams on Sunday.
Texas Tech's Jarrett Culver, also named the conference player of the year, headlines the All-Big 12 First Team alongside Iowa State's Marial Shayok, Kansas' Dedric Lawson and Kansas State's Barry Brown Jr. and Dean Wade.
Texas schools made up most of the All-Big 12 Second team, which included Baylor's Makai Mason, Texas' Jaxson Hayes, TCU's Desmond Bane and Texas Tech's Matt Mooney.
Baylor (19-12, 10-8), which overachieved while dealing with multiple key injuries, was represented well. Mark Vital was named to the All-Defensive team, Mason made the All-Newcomer team and Jared Butler earned All-Freshman honors.
