Baylor quarterback Seth Russell suffered a gruesome ankle injury during the Bears' loss to Oklahoma on Saturday. The injury was shocking to watch but Russell stayed tough throughout, thanking his teammates and coaches for support as well as Oklahoma players who came over to check on him before he was carted off the field.
The injury, diagnosed as a dislocated left ankle, does not appear to be dampening Russell's enthusiasm and optimism. The fifth-year senior took to Instagram to guarantee he will be back playing football soon and expressing thanks the injury was not nearly as bad as it initially looked.
