Baylor Football Adds Iowa Transfer LB, Dillon Doyle

Coach Dave Aranda has added another key defensive piece to the Baylor roster, picking up a transfer linebacker from the Hawkeyes, Dillon Doyle.

Doyle played in all 13 games last year during his sophomore year at Iowa and was expected to compete for the starting MLB job this fall, according to at least one Hawkeye beat writer. Doyle adds much needed depth to the Baylor linebacker corps, which was a strength for the Bears under Matt Rhule but saw key losses heading into the 2020 season. It remains to be seen if Doyle, who is the son of Iowa’s former strength coach, will receiver a waiver from the NCAA, or if he will have to sit out a year.
